If your electric shaver has stopped working, there are a few things to check before seeking out repairs. First, make sure the outlet that it's plugged in to is indeed charged with power. Then, check the shaver battery and recharge it if need be. If that doesn't work, visually inspect the electrical cord for any signs of damage or wear down. If these steps haven't solved the issue, you may have to conduct a more thorough analysis by testing both the motor and switches. For shavers that operate sluggishly, clean and lubricate the shaver heads as they may simply need some maintenance. For rechargeable shavers, ensure that you have plugged them in correctly while fully charging so they can hold their charge longer. Additionally, electric shavers are sensitive pieces of equipment, so check their motor if it runs noisily or cuts poorly on your skin as it may need service like cleaning and lubrication. On foil-head shavers specifically, inspect if its oscillators are indeed vibrating when in use. Lastly for rotary shavers that won't start turning, fear not! You can manually turn their drive shafts yourself to get them running again – or get help from a trustworthy service center when desperate times call for desperate measures!
