Here at Shaver Spares we always get excited when we hear that a new shaving product is being released. Particularly when it is made by an expert in the industry such as Philips. So, it comes as no surprise that when we heard that the Philips OneBlade was being released, we were keen to find out more.
What is it?
The Philips OneBlade is a combination of a beard trimmer and a shaver, not quite one or the other. Designed for those guys that are proud of their beards and style their facial hair, it is everything that the modern man could need in their grooming kit.
The OneBlade is a complete grooming kit, it can tackle any length of hair and will trim, shave or edge to a precise stubble length. It comes complete with three different combs which will trim to a different length and it can be used without a comb if you crave the ultimate in a close shave.
Whilst the OneBlade is advertised as a way to trim and maintain facial hair, there are also plenty of benefits for those that struggle with razor burn and ingrown hairs whilst they use a traditional style of razor. All whilst still being able to achieve a high quality shave.
Available at a rather impressive price of just £34.99, it is a great option for those that need to shave regularly and don’t want to deal with skin irritation and also those that need to take proper care of their facial hair.
The design of the One Blade
If you are not a fan of bold designs, then the One Blade might not be for. It features a green and blue colour scheme, which isn’t everyone’s taste. But when considered alongside the contoured casing, with a nice and slender design, it is still a great choice.
Easy to hold and manoeuvre, this means that the OneBlade is great for those that need to be precise in their trimming and despite the fact that it is heavier than some of the other blades out there, it doesn’t feel too heavy to hold.
Whilst it doesn’t have an adjustable head, this doesn’t hurt the OneBlade, in fact it has everything that it needs. A power button, a charging port and an eject slider and if you want something that is a little more refined then you opt for one of the pro versions which will still give you all the benefits with some extra refinement.
All in all, this is a great shaver if you are looking for a close, precise shave. It is ideal for those that suffer with irritation from wet shaves, as well as those that want to keep in their facial hair in check.
