Why has my new Remington Foil left a mark on my face?

I did get to speak with a Remington engineer late today and they too have very occasionally heard of customers saying that a dark mark has been left on the skin after shaving with a new Remington Titanium or Stainless steel foil. What we have always advised our customers, they have also confirmed to be the correct advice.

The shaver needs to be cleaned of any hair or debris prior to the new foil being installed.

It is always best to pre wash the part of the body that is going to be shaved, this removes natural oils that can impair the effectiveness of the shave.

 It is just as important to make sure once washed the skin is totally dry before shaving commences. The use of Pre –powder sticks is recommended.

Finally after shaving remove the foil and clean out the inside of the shaver to keep the cutter blades working at their best. If you follow these steps,
you will find the foil will shortly stop leaving any marks on the skin.
