New Braun Series 70S Pulsonic 9000 Series Cassette (Foil & Cutter)

Why has the new Braun Series 70S Pulsonic, Prosonic 9000 Series Cassette been changed?

Braun changed this design approx 10 months ago to be in line with European design. The “Pulsonic” imprinted on the side of the unit was changed to “Series 7” and the holes in the foil are now at a slightly different position. This has meant a few customers have found the overall shave to be not as good as when they used the original design. We can only guess that Braun must have done extensive research before they made the decision to change the foil. The new unit is manufactured in Germany and has the following codes associated with it.  99 588 373. Bar Code 4210201647515. Would be interested to hear any customer views towards the new design cassette cartridge?

When I bought the shaver I thought it the best and most comfortable shave ever in 30 years of using Braun. I ordered a new foil showing the image you have on your posting and recieved the new one in its place. Having tried it I found it inferior in both comfort and the closeness of the shave - a big mistake by Braun. I have been searching for retro stock - hence my question. My old foil is more comfortable and gives a better shave than the replacement which says it all. The search continues!
