My Remington SP399 foil keeps popping of the shaver while I am shaving.

Solution to this is to carefully remove the foil from the plastic frame. The frame has some small recesses that can become blocked with hair debris and oil from your skin. The frame needs to be cleaned well to remove all lose particles. Either use a spirit based cleaning solution or alternatively use warm soapy water. Once the frame is clean make sure the frame is dry before fitting the Remington foil back in place. Also check there is no lose hair follicles inside the top of the shaver.

This should now stop the foil and frame displacing while you are shaving.

The foil SP-399 you sent for the Remington F7790 shaver keeps jumping out of the shaver.

I press the foil into the shaver, it clicks, I can shave for a few seconds, then it jumps out.

It says on the packet it is the correct foil.

The shaver is a year old.

I have received the order Remington SP-399 F6790 &F7790 Comfort 360 replacement Cutters and blades.  ASIN: B0050PZ5SS Listing numbers 1121K31GJG order ID 20537406996499. The cutter head will not stay attached to the razor. The vibration pushes it off of the fixings. It is a slightly different shape to the old one but fits as it should but will not stay in place when the razor is switched on. Could you please rectify this or advise. I have a feeling this may be a common fault. Many thanks.

Question:-
Hi. I have tried cleaning as you have advised but still have no success. It is fine without the blades inserted but as soon as they are fitted the foil section pops off. Tried with my old foil and new blades with no problem. I think the tolerances on the foil holder are not correct for a tight enough fitting.

Hi. I decided to remove the foil from the new holder and fit to the old holder plus fit the new blades. The head now stays in place with no popping off. This i believe proves the plastic holder supplied has a problem. Possible that the width of the new holder needs to be slightly wider or the original design needs to be put back in production.
